Rollerbowl Community Hub

We are a group of people dedicated to bringing Rollerbowl into community ownership.

Our mission is simple: to save our local bowling lanes while creating a large, welcoming community hub that can be accessed and enjoyed by all.

We are currently in the early stages of establishing our not-for-profit organisation. This means the hub will be run by the community, for the community.

Because we are a non-profit, every penny spent at Rollerbowl will go directly back into providing essential services and facilities for the local community.

The Vision

Our vision is for the Rollerbowl Community Hub to become the heart of the local community. A place where the fun of the bowling lanes fuels a much needed social resource. A place where all members of the community can feel at home. we believe that by bringing people together under one roof we can tackle social isolation and create a vibrant multi-generational space that belongs to everyone.

By running as a community-owned hub, we create a sustainable future where every game of bowling and every coffee sold generates income that stays right here in our area. This model gives our community a direct voice in how the hub is run, ensuring we remain a truly inclusive and welcoming space. By reinvesting our profits back into the building we can offer free or low cost flexible spaces for local groups, providing a permanent home for the services and activities our community deserves.

Available Areas

  • Bowling Lanes

Our high-quality lanes provide affordable fun for the whole community and serve as the vital revenue stream that powers our hub. From casual bowling, leagues and tournaments to professional coaching, we cater to groups of any size, ensuring that every game played helps keep our local facilities sustainable for everyone.

  • Bar

A key revenue stream for the hub, our bar offers a relaxed, open-plan space for bowlers and the wider community. This flexible layout is perfectly suited for charity fundraising events, such as quiz nights and bingo, providing a dedicated space where local causes can come together.

  • Pool

We are reconfiguring this area to create a vibrant, multi-functional social space. By incorporating a dedicated social space for youth clubs and community groups, we will offer a versatile environment alongside pool tables and the introduction of dart boards, with the future potential to develop a pool club.

  • New Multi-Purpose Community Space

We are planning a significant new area (25m x 10m) designed to be a private, dedicated environment for community use. This “blank canvas” offers the potential for a flexible layout. Whether maintained as one large open-plan hall or divided into several smaller, private rooms. We are currently seeking your feedback to help us decide how this space can best serve the needs of our community.

  • Outside

Our site features a large car park and outdoor area, providing a versatile space for community use. From car boot sales and markets to family fun days or a community garden, the area offers endless potential. We welcome your feedback on how to best use this land to benefit the community.
